Lee’s career started at the age of eleven with all types of dances including, disco, Latin and Ballroom. At the age of fifteen he was ranked 2nd in the world as Junior (under 16) for Latin American. At eighteen, he was approached to move to Holland to compete again and to teach in one of the largest dance studios with over 1,800 students.
Lee started teaching Salsa classes in Chesterfield in September 2000 and created Absolute Salsa, since then he has become one of if not the most successful salsa promoter in the East Midlands area.
Lee has also produced his own line of DVDs which have been sold all over the world and Lee can be seen teaching at every major event around the UK.
Lee has over 32 years’ teaching experience his relaxed & fun approach to teaching has earned him his accolade of UK TOP TEACHER. Lee can now safely boast that he has worked at every major event in the UK salsa calendar. Lee’s achievements include representing the UK at the world’s largest Salsa Event in Los Angeles at the LA Salsa Fest. Which saw the Biggest Names in the Salsa Industry working all under one roof! As well as appearances on Come Dancing and Dutch National TV. In 2016 Lee rewrote the UK Salsa Syllabus which is taught throughout the UK via the National Association of Teachers of Dance (N.A.T.D) which continues to place Lee at the top of his game.
He has also produced a popular range of DVDs, which have been sold all over the world, covering salsa for absolute beginners, improvers, shines and Cha Cha Cha. Lee’s ethos is Fun! His classes are very relaxed and are split between 70% enjoyment and 30% learning – In a safe, friendly, ego free and non-intimidating atmosphere.
